Arch Bishop Mar Gregorios Snehaveed

Snehaveedu has two homes. Arch Bishop Mar Gregorios Psycho Social Rehabilitation Centre established on 17th November 2008. On Ist December 2008 we have taken 9 destitute mentally ill persons for rehabilitation. Arch Bishop Mar Gregorios Snehaveedu Hospice House established on 30th May 2017 with 23 inmates from 9th ward of Govt. General Hospital Trivandrum . Arch Bishop Mar Gregorios Snehaveedu charitable society is the legal holder of these institutions. Right now 106 residents are here.

The Main objective is to Share God’s love through giving care and protection to the needy & destitute with psychic problems who are wandering around the streets.

SNEHAVEEDU is a non-profitable and non-political organization. Inmates from all walks of life stay here. Apart from food, shelter and medication, counseling and rehabilitation are provided.

Sneha Veedu stretches its kind hands towards the mentally challenged (mentally ill) the poor, the aged and the orphans. It is located in Nalanchira in the outskirts of City of Trivandrum Capital of Gods own country-Kerala

This Home away from Home and a place of Hope for the Hopeless is run by Fr.George Joshua, the director and helped by 3 Holy Spirit nuns and two lay people.

The team offers solace to the suffering individual and family alike, with psycho-social rehabilitation programmes and medical care administered by experts (dedicated doctors from Psychiatric hospital) in respective areas.

One goes and visit the place will be amazed by seeing the total dedication towards the damped lives of 125 poor and destitute living there.

Fr George Joshua’s vision is to renew the hopes of its residents, and their family members, re-kindle their life, and bring back its residents to social mainstream and integration with their families.
